Not only does wearing the wrong size create the double boob, it can leave red marks and can be uncomfortable, it can also damage your posture so it is very important to wear the correct size.
A couple of tips for making sure the bra your wearing is ok are -
- You should be able to fit 2 fingers comfortably under the shoulder band, make sure that the band is not too tight as this may cause uncomfortable rubbing.
- The centre of the bra should lie flat against your chest, if it doesn't and it pulls away at any point then you may need the next cup up.
- There must be no overspill of the cup on the top or at the sides (be aware that women tend to have one breast larger than the other)
Most lingerie stores have a fitting service, i went to La Senza who measured me and even picked out bras for me to try, it was an excellent personal service. They also have a sizing guide available on their website which is very useful.
With the right size i have another issue, finding nice bra's in my size, as not all places have a good selection for people with larger cup sizes. However i went to Ann Summers today and they had a few nice sets in stock - just like this one - Sofia Black/Pink Balconette Bra. They have a few on offer too, such as 2 bras for £25.
When i first found out about what bra size i actually was i wanted the floor to open up and swallow me, i couldn't believe how big they were, i had never really noticed how big they were, but when i asked my friend at work she was like Sam..... they are huge!! I went through a phase of hating them i just felt like i couldn't wear certain clothes as i though they made me boobs look to big, which in turn made me feel fat. I'm not a big person I'm a size 8-10 (UK). One of my boyfriends mates actually asked me if they were real, which was quite funny. I have now learnt to love them, sure its hard at times to find clothes which work with them but its a great excuse to try lots of clothes on when i go shopping :D
