New movies 2012

I went to the Cinema at the weekend to see Sherlock Holmes 2, it was quite good and very comical although not as good as the first in my opinion. Whilst i was at the cinema i saw some film previews, one which stood out for me was Snow White and the Huntsman which looks like it could be a good movie, it stars Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman sent to kill Snow White and Sam Clafin as the Prince. By the looks of it the film starts off like the Disney classic but then it sounds as if it is much different, Snow White learns how to fight and begins a rebellion against the evil Queen  (and there aren't the normal seven dwarf there is eight with completely different names to the animated film).

I'm quite excited about the Snow White film because Chris Hemsworth is quite lush!! Another film with a hottie in due for release in cinemas this year is Men in Black 3, Will Smith is making a return!!! Nicole Scherzinger is also set to star in the film as Agent J's girlfriend. The film is set to release on 25 May in the UK.

Now for the younger audience, Ice Age 4: Continental drift is set for release in July, and if the last 3 films are anything to go by it should be a great film to watch, the film features the original characters, Manny, Diego and every ones favourite sloth Sid. The story seems to be the characters setting sail on an iceberg and they encounter pirates and sea creatures, so probably wont be smooth running for them but most likely a laugh for the audience.

Along with Ice Age there is a third instalment to Madagascar!!! Europe's Most Wanted will be the first Madagascar film in 3D and is set for release in the UK on 19 October. Like Ice Age it includes the original characters (including Mort the Lemur) This time when trying to make it back to New York they end up in Monte Carlo joining up with a travelling circus.

Last but not least on my list is the final instalment of the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn Part 2! Sure to be very successful in Cinemas around the globe. It is due for release on 16 November. I wonder what people will do when there are no more Twilight films for them to look forward to. No more Harry Potter or Twilight!

So 2012 is looking quite good so far for films! Oh and before i forget Beauty and the Beast is being re-released at cinemas in 3D on 13 January for a limited time only!!!!!

I got the release dates for the above from the Film Dates website.
